Craig is committed to ensuring that the current and future generations of the St. James-Assiniboia School Division have access to safe and quality education. It should be designed to not only nurture and care for them, but to guide and fulfill their highest potential.
Craig’s strong passion of education has lead him to attain his Masters of Business administration from Chaminade University of Honolulu, a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) from the University of Manitoba, Certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University and a Certificate in Mental Health Leadership from Queen’s University.
On the St. James – Assiniboina School Division Board, Craig serves as the Chair of the Finance and Facilities committee, overseeing the school divisions budget and audit process, as well ensuring that our divisional facilities are safe and well maintained. In his three years as Chair of the Committee, he was was instrumental in lowering administrative costs and ensuring that hard earned tax dollars are spent in the classroom, on students, where they belong. He has also served as a member of the Community Engagement, and Retirement Committee.
He currently works in Corporate Finance and has also served on the Board of Directors at several community based non-profits and associations. Previously, he was an assistant to a Member of Parliament and Member of the Legislative Assembly.
Craig is a proud resident of Silver Heights and looks forward raising his two sons in the St. James-Assiniboia area.
